Jon Cryer Talks About Stephen Colbert and “Company” on “The Late Show”.

Jon Cryer was a guest “The Late Show with David Letterman” last night in which he spoke about amongst other things how he got involved with “Company” and working with Stephen Colbert.

Fast forward to (7.05) for the Colbert goodness.

(Thanks to somuch2kno for the tip.)

I felt bad for Jon Cryer in this clip. He was funny and engaging, and all Letterman wanted to talk about was recently deposed Charlie Sheen. It was nice to hear his recollection of Company; having been fortunate enough to see it live, I am glad to hear that the cast seemed to enjoy it as much as the audience did.

@iwaspromisedpancakes: I’m glad I skipped right to the talk of Company, then. Hearing Letterman ask over and over again about Charlie Sheen would have made me feel awkward, so I can only imagine how uncomfortable Cryer must have felt. It makes me think of when Robert Downey Jr. went on Leno right after he got out of rehab in 2001, and Leno kept asking him about it. I know it’s the elephant in the room, but that doesn’t mean it’s all you have to ask about.

Anyway. I enjoyed hearing Cryer talk about Company, especially the bit about his conversation with Stephen at the Comedy Awards. This makes me all the more excited for the Tonys on Sunday and for the film to come out next week!
